A wealth of graduate skills in Nottingham – including those emerging from Nottingham’s two world-class universities – is a powerful draw to companies wishing to relocate in the city.

Science and technology businesses in particular need high-calibre employees – and figures show that out of 129,878 university level students registered in the East Midlands in 2002, a total of 44,975 students studied science related subjects. In other words, over a third of the region’s graduates have extensive science and technology knowledge and skills ripe for the picking.
